Comment: “My patient was originally on Medicare Advantage but told me he could not enroll this year because the cost suddenly went up.  He came to me after he received a flyer in the mail regarding the only other alternative…an AARP endorsed traditional Medicare plan and asked what I thought about it.  I was silently wondering if he knew the story behind this mailing and how this new monopoly was created?  I bet you he did not know that AARP spent over 90 million dollars supporting Obamacare and in return for that support, legislation was passed essentially eliminated its competition that guaranteed a financial windfall for AARP!
